Master of Science in Genetic Counseling
In addition to the application requirements outlined in the "Basic Admission Requirements" section of the catalog, applicants seeking entry into the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program must also:
- All applicants must first register for the Match with the National Matching Services (NMS) before applying to participating genetic counseling graduate programs. Applicants must provide their National Match Service (NMS) code number on their Resume to be eligible for application review.
All applicants will be notified via email if they have been selected for an interview. Interviews will be scheduled for February and March.
All applicants are required to complete the following prerequisite requirements with a letter grade of C or higher:
- Two Biology courses (not including Biochemistry)
- Two Chemistry courses (not including Biochemistry)
- One Biochemistry course
- One Statistics course
- One Psychology course
- One Genetics course
All prerequisite coursework must be satisfactorily completed prior to matriculation. Please visit the MS-GC program page on the MGHIHP website for additional details.
