Applicants without an existing master’s degree are required to submit official GRE scores. The general test is required for admission and must have been taken within five years of the application deadline.
Applicants may apply for a waiver of the GRE by submitting the SON GRE Waiver Request Form, along with proper documentation. GRE waivers are reviewed and approved by the Office of Admission, in consult with the School of Nursing, only if an applicant meets specific criteria. Please refer to the “Application Process” section of our website for additional instructions and information.
Applicants are asked to provide a copy of all professional state licenses.
Requests for personal interviews with the School of Nursing are considered on a case-by-case basis at the time of application review.
Applicants who are current RNs with an MS in Nursing who are already advanced practice nurses are encouraged to apply. This includes practitioners in the following areas:
Nurse Practitioners
Clinical Nurse Specialists
Certified Nurse Anesthetists
Certified Nurse Midwives
Nurse Administrators may apply as well.
