HCHEM-454 Gen Chem 2 for the Hlth Sci

Prerequisite: General Chemistry I for the Health Sciences or permission of the instructor. General Chemistry 2 for Health Professions is the second of two chemistry courses. The topics in this course will be explained and discussed in the context of clinical applications to various health professions. Specific topics include intermolecular forces, properties of solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base/aqueous equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, non-metals/transition metals, environmental chemistry, and chemistry of life. In the required lab component students use a lab kit to conduct hands on labs.
