3.1 Program of Study
The MGH IHP Post-Professional OTD (PP-OTD) degree program will be offered online, requiring completion of a 32-credit curriculum over five academic semesters. There are nine core courses and four Innovation Project courses. Students will take one core course at a time, over a 6-week period and one Innovation Project course for four of the five semesters. Coursework will consist of a blend of asynchronous and synchronous learning methods, including independent self-directed learning, course readings, virtual discussion boards and weekly live discussions. Students who are bachelor’s prepared will take an additional four courses prior to beginning the PP-OTD curriculum.
Students will experience a curriculum that is generalist in nature, which will advance knowledge and skills in clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, program development, academic and clinical teaching, and policy. Mentorship and coursework will support completion of the Innovation Project which is concurrent with coursework.
