CD-857 Adult Neurodegenerative Syndromes Affecting Language and Cognition

Prerequisite: CD-839. Audit and Pass/Fail Available. This course provides an overview of the major adult neurodegenerative disorders (dementia syndromes) that a speech-language pathologist is likely to encounter. Knowledge of the assessment of language and cognition in individuals with these disorders is covered as well as current research related to evidence-based communication treatment methods.
