HP-518 Community Impact Day
The IHP's annual Community IMPACT Day (CID) introduces students to concepts related to effective communication, perspective-taking, and team building that are integral to interprofessional collaborative practice and the delivery of safe, equitable, client-centered care. In addition to participating in a variety of learning experiences throughout the day, all 64 interprofessional student teams will also participate in community service activities to meet the identified needs of partner sites in and around the Boston area. First year students participating in CID are drawn from all seven disciplines represented at the Institute, including Master of Science in Genetic Counseling, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, and Doctor of Audiology.
