NLA-761 Healthcare Quality and Safety / Practicum

Prerequisites: Bachelor’s Degree. This course encompasses quality improvement and patient safety within frameworks of systems thinking and the influence of information technology. The emphasis will be on the integration of relevant quality improvement theories, frameworks and principles of safe system design aimed at improving healthcare outcomes. Patient safety risk assessments, high risk contexts for patient harm, and metrics of quality improvement will be explored.
