HCD 555 Hearing Science

Prerequisite: None. In this course we will introduce and explore the scientific principles of hearing. Topics include acoustics and physical properties of sound, basic structure and function of the peripheral and central auditory system, psychoacoustics, and auditory system pathology. A particular focus is basic science foundations and application to clinical problem-solving.
