2.3.3 Program of Study
MS students will meet with their academic advisors to develop a program of study (POS). This document indicates the agreed upon progression through the program’s courses and the planned date for graduation. A copy of the completed form will be filed with the program office by the end of the first four weeks of the first class.
A POS may be revised as needed, as work and life circumstances change. A new POS in program template, which has been approved by the academic advisor, must be filed within the first four weeks of the term in which there has been a change in course progression or planned graduation date.
All newly matriculated students will be automatically enrolled into the HE742 Innovations Seminar (1 credit). Another course is typically also included, either HP712 Foundations of Teaching and Learning (3 credits), HE741 Technology in Education (3 credits) or HE744 Research Methods in Education (3 credits). A number of students start with two 3-credit courses along with the 1-credit Innovations Seminar. Others only start with one 3-credit course along with the 1-credit Innovations Seminar.
