2.3 Petition to request a modified curriculum
The DA program follows a recommended term-based sequence, but the department understands that personal, professional, or academic circumstances may require an adjustment. Learners seeking a change must first meet with their Academic Advisor—and the Program Director if needed—to discuss options and confirm degree requirements.
If a modification is warranted, the learner submits a brief written petition that identifies the courses to be moved, added, or deferred and provides a concise rationale with supporting documentation.
The Academic Advisor and Program Director will review the request for feasibility and course availability. If approved, a revised plan of study will be established for the upcoming term.
