7. Health Equity
Health equity is foundational to healthcare—and to your education in our prerequisites program. We are committed to transforming health professions education, clinical care, and organizational culture to be more equitable. From your first day, you’ll learn how to recognize differences in health outcomes, understand the factors that influence care, and make decisions that expand access and improve impact. We teach the skills to provide care that is respectful, responsive, and rooted in real-world context. By putting health equity into daily practice, our students—and our graduates—help build a healthcare system that is stronger, fairer, and more effective for every community. The Mission, Values, and Community Excellence website includes many important resources along with key personnel, upcoming events, and health equity news.
Online prerequisite students are able to access any of the resources, trainings, or offerings hosted by the MVCE Office.
