Pass/Fail Option

Students may take a maximum of 20% of the total credits required to graduate or complete the program on a Pass/Fail basis, subject to the following:

  1. The Pass/Fail option is available only for selected required courses.  See course descriptions as listed in the catalog.
  2. Any course taken as an elective may be taken as Pass/Fail, subject to approval of the faculty and to the 20% of total credit limit.
  3. DNP 900 courses that are designated as Pass/Fail only are exempt from the 20% limit.

If a student wishes to change their grade option from “Pass/Fail” to a grade, or from a grade to “Pass/Fail” in a course that allows that option, the following form must be completed and approved by the course faculty.  The Change of Grade scale form may be obtained from the Registrar’s website/Important Forms.
