All applications to the DEN program are processed through the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS).
All applicants are required to submit official GRE scores. The general test is required for admission and must have been taken within five years of application.Our school code is 3513.
Applicants may apply for a waiver of the GRE by submitting the SON GRE Waiver Request Form along with proper documentation. GRE waivers are approved by the program director and only if an applicant meets specific criteria. Please refer to the “Application Process” section of our website for additional instructions and information.
Completion of the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better is required for admission (all courses should have been taken within 10 years of the application deadline). All prerequisites courses must be completed prior to matriculation:
Human Anatomy or Human Anatomy & Physiology I
Human Physiology or Human Anatomy & Physiology II
Human Growth & Development (survey of lifespan)
Microbiology
Human Nutrition
Statistics
Applicants with extenuating circumstances may apply for a waiver of the 10 year policy by completing and submitting the DEN Prerequisite Time Limit Waiver Form. This form should be submitted either before or along with the application for admission, and is available in the “Application Process” section of our website.
