NS-661 Common Problems of Adult Health

Prerequisites: NS-621, NS-660, NS-665. Retake of NS-661 requires successful completion of NS-622. Course letter grade and Pass/Fail for clinical component. This course is designed to integrate scientific inquiry and evidence-based practice for adult and geriatric population with acute and chronic problems. Students will develop clinical reasoning and clinical judgement through the integration of scientific knowledge and patient care in acute settings. Emphasis will be on the nurse’s role in promoting and maintaining health and in managing patient and family responses to illness, hospitalization, and surgery.
