HE-955 Cultural & Global Persp HPEd
Prerequisite: Enrollment in PhD in Health Professions Education program. This elective enables application of cross-cultural and global perspectives in teaching, learning, assessment, educational scholarship, and leadership within health professions education in traditional and novel global contexts. Students propose and execute a mentor-supervised, customized project plan which may include observation/discussions of educational initiatives in a diverse cultural context and implications for generalizability beyond that context. Reflections/discussions contribute to shared cross-fertilization of ideas. Project mentors/collaborators can be suggested by students or faculty. Enrollment cannot exceed 5.
