NS-530 Maternal Child Nursing

Prerequisites: NS-509, NS-510, NS-520, NS-522. Course letter grade and Pass/Fail for clinical component. This course uses a family-centered framework to offer the knowledge and skills necessary for nursing care of childbearing women and children from infancy through adolescence in wellness and illness. Biobehavioral, developmental, and psychosocial factors influencing the health and well-being of women, children and families are examined in the context of community and acute care settings.
