NP 738 Advanced Pharm for Pediatrics
Prerequisites: NP-761N. Corequisites: NP-721. This course prepares the advanced practice nursing (APRN) student to apply the pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic principles of drugs to the treatment of disease in the pediatric population. Students will integrate concepts from microbiology and advanced pathophysiology to pharmacotherapeutics. Legal and ethical responsibilities of the APRN prescriber are covered. Application of content includes case studies designed to enhance therapeutic reasoning and ready the APRN student to safely prescribe medications in the pediatric primary care clinical setting.
