Program Director
The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the academic and strategic direction of the DA program. This includes ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of the MGH Institute of Health Professions and the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. The Director leads curriculum development, maintains academic quality and integrity, and ensures the program remains responsive to emerging trends in healthcare data analytics. In addition, the Director supports faculty development and provides mentorship to students as appropriate.
Program Manager
The Program Manager supports the operational and administrative functions of the DA program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for enrolled and prospective students, manages communications, and assists with course scheduling, event coordination, and documentation. The Program Manager works closely with the Program Director to support program goals and enhance the student experience.
Academic Advisor
The Academic Advisor is the primary mentor for each learner, offering individualized guidance on course sequencing, degree progression, and alignment of electives or capstone work with career goals. Advisors monitor academic performance, identify support needs, and connect students with Institute resources such as tutoring, accessibility services, and career development. They maintain regular communication through email and virtual meetings to ensure students meet key milestones, understand program policies, and navigate any challenges that arise. Working closely with the Program Director and instructors, Academic Advisors promote student success and timely completion of the DA degree.
Instructors
DA instructors are responsible for delivering course content, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving course and program outcomes. Instructors provide academic mentorship, evaluate student performance, and integrate real-world applications of healthcare data analytics. Many instructors are also active professionals in clinical, academic, or industry roles, bringing valuable perspectives to the learning experience.
