3.5.3 Course Failures

Repeating Courses: Learners who fail a course may repeat the course only once.

Learners may be allowed to repeat a course the next time it is offered. In the instance where the course failure is not isolated or where there are other academic or professionalism issues of concern, a learner may be required to petition the Program Director or the HA Programmatic Committee for permission to repeat the course(s). Tuition for repeated courses is over and above the original program tuition. Students may be placed on a leave of absence (LOA) while awaiting an opportunity to repeat a course.

Withdrawing from a course with a grade of “W” constitutes having taken the course once. Students must complete a petition to request a modified course curriculum to repeat a course.

A second course failure of either a repeated course or any other course taken in the program will result in a recommendation for dismissal from the Program
