Purpose
The Committee for Academic Policies and Procedures (CAPP) is a standing committee within the MGH Institute of Health Professions Physical Therapy (PT) Department. The committee is responsible for reviewing student progression each semester and may convene at other points in the academic year to address student appeals, petitions, academic integrity concerns, and formal warnings. CAPP serves as a representative body of the faculty and makes recommendations to the Department Chair, who holds final authority for decisions and actions. The committee is also responsible for student manual review and revision annually.
Membership
CAPP is comprised of 5 faculty members including one representative from the clinical education team. One of the 5 faculty members will serve as the chair of the committee. For matters requiring voting, at least 3 members must be available to participate.
