NP-885A Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum I

Prerequisite: NP-845, NP-855, NP-848. This course provides students with a forum to synthesize knowledge acquired throughout the curriculum while integrating theory with in a precepted clinical practice. Focus will be on the development of psychiatric assessment, and diagnosisis, and clinical intervention skills with a diverse populationity of individuals, groups, and families across the lifespan. Both individu-al and group supervision will provide an opportunity for students to enhance their under-standing of and develop beginning level competency in the advanced practice nursing role.
