OT-630 Human Development and Occupation

Prerequisites: None. Pass/Fail, Audit not available.This course provides an overview of lifespan development from infancy to older adulthood. Examination of physical, psychological, cognitive and social development is explored as it relates to occupation and participation. Theoretical models of lifespan development will be presented with an emphasis on OT theory and ecological approaches. Students will learn to differentiate normal development / aging from pathology and are required to observe, interpret, and describe occupational performance in relation to adaptation and participation.
