OT 763 Participation and Productive Aging
Prerequisites: OT-602, OT-622, OT-630, OT-640, OT-650, OT-652, OT-710, OT-770, OT-771, OT-773. Pass/Fail, Audit not available. This course provides an overview of occupational therapy with the older adult population. Students examine theories of aging and learn to evaluate the multiple dimensions of function that impact participation and productive aging. Students will explore relevant community resources, public policies, and safety issues impacting the older adult population. Experiential activities will be integrated into the course, including service learning and laboratory sessions.
