OT 770 Occupational Therapy in Mental Health
Prerequisites: OT-640, OT-650. Pass/Fail, Audit not available. This course is an introduction to occupational therapy practice in mental health. Emphasis will be placed on interventions for the mental health population and application of broad based practice skills for those with dual diagnoses. Students will be introduced to selected psychosocial frames of references and conceptual models of practice, including group theory and processes. Course includes laboratory work in mental health settings and simulations.
