NS 503AU Pharmacology

Prerequisites: NS-500U, NS-501U, NS-502U. The course examines pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics of drug therapy in individuals and populations for both physiologic and pathophysiologic conditions. The course will provide a foundation for understanding the actions, effects, side effects, drug interactions and nursing responsibilities of drug therapy. Disease prevention, treatment, and patient response to pharmacologic modalities for common acute and chronic conditions will be explored using clinical judgment.
