DA 820 Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Prerequisite: None.  This course is an overview of core AI and ML concepts with applications and case studies in the healthcare sector. Students will explore the theory, design, and practical healthcare system applications which can be used to improve clinical and operational decision-making. Current and futuristic applications of AI will also be discussed. Students will gain an understanding of the field of data science, the role of data scientist, and the intersection with data analytics, together with an overview of the statistical and analytical foundations of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
