DA 850B Application of Analytics B

Prerequisite: DA-720. Students will participate in a two-semester application of healthcare data analytics project working on a real-world problem. Students will be presented a problem or case study on which they can apply their knowledge and experience. With mentorship, students will select the appropriate scientific methods and data analytic tools to set up and test an appropriate statistical model, analyze the results, develop the visualization and storytelling narrative and presentation, and finally communicate their conclusions orally and in written form. Through these applied projects, students will experience the leadership and practice necesssary in healthcare data analytics. Specific attention will be directed at understanding the role data analysts play in leading change through organizational development, business intelligence vision, project management, and strategic planning.
