7.4.2 Library Services

Students will require access to a strong evidence base to be successful in this program. They will access a robust database of evidence and academic resources through the Janis P. Bellack Library & Study Commons at the MGH Institute of Health Professions ( https://www.mghihp.edu/library). The library provides a comprehensive virtual collection, including electronic journals, e-books, clinical tools, and patient education materials. Students will complete learning activities related to library services, including how to access resources virtually, how to develop clinical questions, and how to conduct evidence-based literature searches.

Students will have access to an MGH IHP librarian and associated help desk throughout the program. The IHP librarians will collaborate with program faculty and students to ensure continued access to appropriate resources and support services. Students will have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one consultations, both virtually and in person. These consultations will be required during the first semester of the Capstone Project course sequence.
