Academic Support Services

Academic Support Coaching
The Institute offers free academic support services. The primary role of an academic support coach is to support students who have academic, personal, behavioral, or socio-cultural needs or concerns that impact their academic or clinical success. Students may contact the academic support coach directly or may be referred by the student’s faculty advisor, Fieldwork Office, Program Director, or the Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures.

The Academic Support Coach who supports students in the OTD program within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) is Mike Boutin, EdD, Assistant Dean for Faculty and Student Success. His office is located on the 2nd floor suite in Building 39, and he is available for schedule by email at eboutin@mghihp.edu.

Writing Consultation
The Institute provides a free writing tutor, who can provide distance and on-site writing support. The writing tutor can be contacted through the Office of Student and Alumni Services or via email at writingtutor@mghihp.edu.
