Part V: The Doctoral Capstone

The Doctoral Capstone is a distinct feature of the entry-level OTD curriculum, fulfilling the Doctoral Capstone accreditation requirements. During the Capstone process, students are mentored by a faculty and/or site mentor with expertise consistent with the student’s area of focus. The student’s Capstone faculty or site mentor has demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas identified as the student’s focused area of study: clinical practice skills, research skills, administration, leadership, program and policy development, advocacy, or education.
