iv. Appointment Letter
Certain terms and conditions of every appointment shall be stated in writing. Salary, rank, starting date and ending date, appointment to the faculty, and percentage of full-time equivalent shall be stated in writing. Upon employment, all faculty are required to sign the
new hire paperwork, including Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Intellectual Property Acknowledgement and License Agreement, and the Policy on Academic Integrity. Other terms and conditions may be stated in writing or may be determined in consultation with the academic unit leader. The appointment letter, which is signed by the faculty member, constitutes the faculty member’s appointment with the MGH Institute.
