2.1.2 ROLE of the Academic Advisor

The Academic Advisor will:

  1. Monitor the student’s academic records.
  2. Approve course registration during each registration period.
  3. Sign Program and Institute forms that require advisor’s signature.
  4. Advise students about relevant Institute and Program academic policies when petitioning for waivers or unusual circumstances and bring petitions to the CIED Program faculty for action.
  5. Review the student’s academic record each semester and provide academic counseling whenever necessary.
  6. Review all requirements and sign-off on forms required for graduation.
Assist students in identifying appropriate resources for personal and professional needs.
