6 - Program Constraints
6.1 Transfer Policy
Students may transfer one graduate-level AuD course completed at a CAA accredited AuD program. The transferred course must match a course in the AGC curriculum in content and rigor and the grade earned must be C or better. The student should speak with an Academic Advisor first to determine if the course can be transferred. Students must provide the course syllabus, transcript, and any other requested documentation with their Petition for Course Replacement form (www.mghihp.edu/petition-course-replacement-form). Transfer credits are not calculated into the graduate GPA. On the recommendation of faculty, the advisor may also require that the student to attend (without having to register for the course) the equivalent MGH IHP AuD course.
6.2 Credit by Examination
Matriculating students may not receive credit by examination for required or elective courses.
6.3 Automatic Withdrawal
Students presenting excessive absenteeism in all courses in any single semester within an academic year (Summer/Fall/Spring) will be withdrawn automatically from the program.
6.4 Time Limits
Students must complete all degree requirements within two consecutive academic years from the time of initial registration.
6.5 Personal Computer
All students are required to have their own laptop computers with operating systems compatible with IHP requirements. All use of laptops during class periods should be related to in-class activities. Excessive non-academic use during class is considered a violation of professional behavioral standards and may be subject to disciplinary action by the department.
6.6 Learning Management System
The learning management system at IHP is D2L Brightspace. It is the student’s responsibility to monitor all calendar events and announcements posted in D2L.
6.7 Email
Each student is assigned an MGHIHP.edu email address. Students should use this email address for all communication with faculty and staff at the Institute. Also, students should expect to check their MHGIHP.edu email address frequently. We suggest doing so daily.
