9.1.1 CSD Appeals Process

A student who wishes to question a grade on an exam or assignment must do so within three school days from the day the grade is received. In the case of final examinations, students will have three school days from the posted date of their grade. Requests for grade review must be submitted to the instructor in writing, with documentation supporting the request. The instructor is responsible for responding to the student within five school days of receiving the complaint. Extenuating circumstances, such as semester breaks or temporary unavailability of faculty, may necessitate a longer interval between request and resolution. See the Institute Catalog for the process of challenging the course grade. For classes taken outside the Program, students need to follow the procedures outlined in the Institute Catalog.

Students who believe that the procedures, facts, or policies have been misinterpreted or that the decision was made arbitrarily may initiate an appeal after receiving an unfavorable response to their petition from the program (see SHRS Appeal Policy). If you wish to initiate an appeal, you will need to submit a request in writing to shrsdean@mghihp.edu within ten (10) business days of written notice of the program decision.
