9.1.2 Grievance Committee
The Grievance Committee will convene to consider the appeal at the first opportunity. (An appeal submitted after the spring semester ends may not be reviewed until mid-summer). The committee is comprised of members of the CSD faculty. The student has a right to attend the meeting and speak to the committee directly. Or, they may allow their Program Director to speak on their behalf. The decision to not attend the meeting is not considered in the decision. The student will be informed of the committee’s decision within 10 days of the meeting. A written copy of the decision will be provided to the student and placed in the student’s official Institute file.
In cases of warnings, suspensions, or dismissals, the student may appeal the CSD Grievance Committee’s decision through the Institute’s Grievance procedure. All other decisions are final.
