Petitions for Variances from Policies

Students maintain the right to petition the Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures for any variance from standard EL-OTD Program Policy or Procedure, as outlined in this manual.

 

Petitions

Advisors can guide a student toward the petition procedures. Petitions should be in a letter addressed to the Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures. Petitions should include the specific request, a complete explanation of why the request is being made and must include supporting documentation to justify why the petition should be granted. Please note: this petition process is not intended for grade appeals. Petitions and supporting documentation should be emailed as attachments by the student to the OT Department Mailbox, otdel@mghihp.edu.

 

Approval of Petitions

All petitions will be processed by and must be approved by the majority vote of the Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures. The Chair of the Committee will inform the student in writing of the outcome of the petition process
