Punctuality
Students are expected to arrive on time for all fieldwork education experiences, as punctuality is an essential part of professional behavior.
If a student anticipates being late, they must contact the clinical site and promptly notify their Fieldwork Educator and/or Site Coordinator of their estimated time of arrival. Students are also required to inform the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) and the Clinical Education Placement and Support Administrator (CEPSA) of any tardiness or early dismissal.
Consistent punctuality reflects respect for clients, colleagues, and the fieldwork site. Repeated tardiness is considered a serious matter and may impact the student’s performance evaluation. In some cases, at the discretion of the designated course Fieldwork Faculty, students may be required to make up time missed due to tardiness. In cases where punctuality issues persist, students may be at risk of a failing grade.
We encourage students to communicate proactively if unexpected circumstances arise, so that appropriate support and planning can occur.
