NP 885A Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum I
Prerequisites: RN Status, NP-715N, NP-739, NP-762N, NP-845, NP-855. This course provides students with a forum to synthesize knowledge acquired throughout the curriculum while integrating theory with in a precepted clinical practice. Focus will be on the development of psychiatric assessment, and diagnosis, and clinical intervention skills with a diverse population of individuals, groups, and families across the lifespan. Both individual and group supervision will provide an opportunity for students to enhance their under-standing of and develop beginning level competency in the advanced practice nursing role.
