Prerequisites: None. Medical terminology is the specialized language of healthcare professionals used to describe the human body, its functions, health conditions, and interventions. It serves as a universal mode of communication to ensure clarity, precision, and consistency across the healthcare continuum. This course takes a translational and situated approach to develops understanding and use of medical and clinical terminology The course is situated around body systems and emphasizes analysis of terminology based on word roots, prefix and suffix. Pertinent acronyms and abbreviations will also be included.
