14.2 Attire
Students are expected to dress in "business casual" for clinical and non-clinical fieldwork experiences, classroom experiences, interacting with patients/guests/clients at the IHP, and in any other situation or setting in which they represent the MGH Institute. Consider that every interaction a graduate student has with other professionals as a stepping stone to a job interview, so please consider putting your best self forward. At a fieldwork site, students must adhere to the dress code of the specific institution to which they are assigned. Please also be mindful of fragrances and that patients may be sensitive to them; some hospitals do not allow the use of perfume/cologne. Please be mindful that laboratory settings may exclude certain types of footwear (for safety). Please ask the Program Director and/or your Faculty Advisor if you have any questions regarding attire.
