Appendix C: Curriculum Mapping

IHP Audiology Assistant Certificate

Curriculum Mapping

The table shows the AA certificate courses and clinical instruction mapped to each standard in the Scope of Practice specified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association.  Mapping was guided by the scope of instructional effort required to meet each standard.  Note that four standards (A6, A7, A8, A10) are very broad and require 4 full courses. The remaining 25 standards are narrower, but most are drawn from the same two topics covered in two courses in the AuD curriculum.
